Gambling constantly robs us of our joy in life.
We are here to combat life’s struggles by providing users an outlet to talk with someone who cares.
Gambling is a hard addiction to break. At times it feels like an endless cycle of wanting to quit, having relief for a little while, but eventually falling back into it and feeling completely worthless for not being able to overcome it. The cycle puts strain on ourselves, our loved ones, and our finances. The root of this addiction is often a desire for wealth, power, greed, or the rush from winning. No joy can be found in this manner and we rely on ourselves, luck of the draw, or others to satisfy the need to continue our destructive path. We don’t experience peace because we our hope is in the wrong place. Only through God are we able to experience the joy and rest.
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. – Ecclesiastes 5:10
